"MISSION": AN OPEN INVITATION

All visitors to this website are invited to participate in a JSM field visit to one or another country where Christians, and other believers, are undergoing persecution or unjust treatment.

The purpose of these visits - in line with our declared commitments - is to enable supporters to show their solidarity; where possible, to bring their assistance and aid; and to bring back their own testimonies concerning what they have experienced, seen and heard for themselves.

The whole work of JSM (and of our partner organisations) is founded on such solidarity, a solidarity, all too frequently absent from our contemporary world.

Because JSM is in the earliest stage of development such field visits will, of necessity, be self-funded but they benefit from being organized and directed by experienced staff members. Such trips will only be made to countries where security can be reasonably guaranteed: they are, indeed, tourist destinations. We hope to include the media in these visits so that the wider public can also be informed.

For the year 2005 we envisage possible field visits countries that will be added as plans become finalised. Journalists and other opinion-formers are invited to participate.

These vists are therefore different from those offered by the "OUR FAMILY" Orphanage Project in Moscow; the "REHABILITATION CENTRE" in Nagorno-Karabakh; and the CSW/UNO NORTH KOREA HUMAN RIGHTS EVALUATION project - all of which require specialist participation in various disciplines.

Anyone interested in possibly participating in a supporter field trip need only supply JSM with their name, contact details and their preferred dates of travel in 2005. No fixed dates have yet been established.
